Why a bad economy is good for the Cubs
In 1907 the U.s. Financial system faced disaster, Banks were choking on loans and a bailout of J.P. Morgan helped the economy, but the next year CUBS won the world series.

In 1997 the Asian financial crisis hit and the Cubs made the playoffs in 1998

After a huge hedge fund blow up last summer the cubs won its division.

Which comes first economic recovery or the victory parade?
