Is the talent level in the NBA catching up to Lebron?!
Lebron is a amazing special talent, but I'm starting to think that other players are starting to catch up to his superstar status! Lebron was so head and above everyone else for alongtime, but now it seems that their is a infusion of superstar young talent emerging in the NBA, at a rate that hasn't been seen since the 80's! i.e. Amare Stoudemire, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, Rudy Gay, Kevin Durant, Danny Granger, Monta Ellis, Brandon Roy, Andre Iguodala, Deron Williams, and then we have Greg Oden coming back, Derrick Rose, Micheal Beasley, O.J. Mayo, Jerryd Bayless, Eric Gordon, now I'm not saying all these guys will become superstars, but they all have the tools to become anywhere from good to amazing!! It seems like Lebron has some new Las Vegas friends on the way, and a impossible time of winning a chamionships b/c of one of these superstars in training will always be slapping him down in the future!!!

Im pretty sure that out of all those guys you mentioned, you would still take LeBron if you were given the choice. Obviously CP3, at least to me, would be #2. Just my opinion though. I dont think they are really catching up to him.

Plain and simple, no, not in my opinion at least. In terms of what he has shown he is capable of doing, not one of those players can do what Lebron does in terms of the total package. Some of those you listed are actually better than Lebron in certain points of the game, but I think Lebron is still in a class of his own.

Why is Josh Smith on that list?
And all those rookies haven't played in the NBA yet, so there's no sense in comparing them now. Those guys are decent, but no one from that list will catch up to LeBron. |

I might get hated for this, but i never really considered Lebron that much more advanced than the other guys. Hes a great player, but nowhere near the "heir apparent" like people say. I really dont think he will ever reach Kobes level of talent. But with that said he is still in the top 5 most talented guys in the league. I would say only Kobe, and CP3 are better at this point in time.
