He didn't have to do that and he did. It was also a 1/1 card that I really wanted and he took it off the bay early for me too. So to say he isn't honest isn't accurate. He sent that card off ebay to me with no real record of sale in two days!!!

Then if he's such an honest guy would you care to explain how this auction ended on the 12th, yet the same card was relisted only 4 days later on the 16th?

First of all, there is a dispute option where the buyer & seller can agree not to finalize the sale of a card, so they could've agreed upon that. Second, all this shilling people are saying he does, look at the bid history, people that shill have feedback ratings under 10, 20 the most, or private. These people have hundreds of feedback, do you really think its shilling, doesn't look too convincing to me.

That's a fair example except he could be selling another card with the same photo...I'm guilty and so are many Beckett members of using the same photo or "borrowing" photos from other auctions. It's just faster to list. In fact, because he lists alot of stuff, there is a higher chance that they would reuse a photo.

On the other hand, if the card was serial #2/25 and 3 days later he was selling #2/25 again OR if it was a seller that sold 3 items and next week he was relisting the same 3 card again, THEN I would question it.

Sorry, but this theory doesn't hold up in a sellers case who sells thousands of cards constantly. As much as someone like him sells, it's feasible to have numerous "legit numbered feedback" accounts.

I'm not accusing Wolverine of shilling by bringing that to light, just saying it's a theory on weak ground in this case.

I'm 100% certain he shills his auctions. He has one ebay account he uses for shilling that has 100% of its bids on his auctions. There is just no logical explanation why someone would bid over 150 times in a month with only one seller unless that seller is shilling his own auctions.

Everyone has been warned about this guy multiple times. If you can get the card within your range, that's fine. But just don't expect to find any deals.

Well at least we and a few other members cleared up the pack searching urban legend for a few now if all else fails just say he shills and show 1 lame example out of thousands upon thousands of auctions he lists. Many people back out this just happended to romo(below) on a best offer auction I know not the same type of auction but same premise. I have seen Wolverine take his share of beatings on cards but nobody points that out. No surprise there are far more haters for guys with great cards or guys with money. Everytime logopatch cards comes on here he gets abused too. Everytime a sick patch is shown if it is not owned by a BMB member most jump on the fake bandwagon.

The winner of the first auction you posted is a legit person. He lives 5 minutes from me, and I have bought stuff from him before. Don't know why he would backout there though, he usually deals with tons of high end stuff.

My 2 cents...which is really all that matters.

1) He can be a huge pain in the a** to deal with

2) Does he shill?? I have no idea

3) Does he search?? I have no idea

4) What do I know?? That despite al the things swirling about him...you will get your item. Doesn't matter if it was $10.00 or $1000.00 - you will receive. I'd be willing to drop an extra 10-20% over sale value on a high end item (depending on item of course) to know I will be receiving a good condition item...even if I got shilled to get to that price.

He's a business man. He took a fun hobby and turned it into a $$$ making business. Each and EVERY one of us wants the MOST money out of our cards. We haggle, make deals, and try to get what we want. Every time we open a Beckett, or walk into a card shop / show. If we are looking for a card, we want to pay as little as possible for it. I am ALWAYS looking for good deals. I want to pay as little as possible for cards and then sell them for as much as possible. It's the American way. Like I mentioned earlier about the shilling. NO ONE CAN EVER SHILL ME. I have a price I am willing to pay. If I don't win the card because the seller had another account and out bid me, that's MY FAULT. Obviously, it's not a smart move within the TOS of Ebay. But how many car dealers have said "Hey, I got a guy coming back in about an hour and supposed to be bring cash with him..." YADDA YADDA YADDA... You can't sell me anything I don't want. You can't force me to buy / pay too much for a card. It's simple business ethics. Every classroom will teach you the same thing. Buy low. Sell high.

He just got REALLY good at it !!!!!
