I think "The Greatest Rapper Alive" Heading Is being blown out of porportion. I titled it that because THats what he calls Himself. Nonetheless he IN MY OPINION Is the best rapper out right now HANDS DOWN

lil wayne ain't bad but I listen to his music just for the beats. He really isn't a lyricist but its his beats that get everyone going. In todays rap its hard to find good rappers but guys like Lupe Fiasco and even kanye west are the better lyricists. Jay z is right up there as well as Nas but the real hip hop heads are the underground rappers. They don't spit about money, girls and cars they rap about real life happenings and if you ever hit a concert listen to the no namers. I miss guys like Killah Priest, the Rza and most of wu tang. Chino XL was the best and could rip anyone rapper especially Em into pieces. This is just my two cents plus i'm a old man and rap is crap these days.

95% of the guys that rap about how you shouldn't talk about the same old things like girls and money turn around and do the exact same thing. What I hate even more than that generic type of rap are the guys that do nothing in their music but complain about how rappers focus on material things. IMO that's just as cliche at this point.

The guys that set themselves apart are the storytellers. An example is Cassidy's "Innocent Man." Its also why 2Pac is the greatest ever in my eyes - he never claimed to be better than rappers talking about cars and guns - in fact, he did it plenty - but he was able to tell amazing stories on tracks like "Baby Don't Cry" and "Brenda's Got a Baby." BTW, 2Pac crushed Chino before he died

Wayne is on a another level right now, Like Father Like Son was one of the best CDs all the way through in a very long time in Hip Hop. He's coming with an all new and original sound all his own blending all types of music. Nobody in the game is even close right now!!!

I listen to metal/hard rock etc. and rarely listen to rap unless its somestuff, but in my opinion Lil Waynes "Hustler Musik" Is one of my faviorite songs period. Thats what got me on Lil Wayne to start really, and the rest of his stuff is usually good. Him and Emenim have to be my 2 faviorite rappers period

Unreal. When was the last time Eminem put out anything meaningful? Most of you talking trash about Wayne probably never heard anything but Lollipop or you don't like rap. Why knock him?

He is the best rapper alive right now, yes he's currently better than Jay-Z and Eminem combined. The 2 of them could put out a double disc with nothing but those 2 rhyming and they wouldn't touch Wayne.

I went and seen him for the first time this past Monday and he put on a hell of a show. The dude broke out the guitar and played one of his songs. What I liked about the show was he was having a great time and thanked the fans about 15 times.

"You see my girls legs open better smash that/Don't be surprised when she ask where the cash at/I see she wearin them jeans that show her buttcrack/My girls can't wear that why?/Thats where my stash at".

The carter III was horrible and a disappointment :doubt: Its not the same wayne from the hotboys or carter I and II days.
Also i agree with joeycad. Wu tang is the greatest to ever do it IMO
