What a coincidence. I was on a flight home (to Boston) from Arizona last year and I was reading the prospect handbook. A flight attendant comes by and asks what I'm reading and assuming she doesn't follow the minors, I just tell her it's a book that rates all the current prospects on each team. She was like Yeah, I know that, I meant what year and I told her what it was (either 06 or 07) and she was like oh, then I guess my son isn't in there anymore...so I ask who it is, and she says Andre Ethier. We talked about baseball for a few minutes and she told me that she's best friends with Dustin Pedroia's mother from the ASU days. I thought it was cool, funny to see someone with the exact same experience.

i have the exact same story, but she pulled out a photo album and showed his baby pics to me. funny stuff

Closest I can get is when I was working at Bayou Lofts and Craig Biggio's and Jeff Bagwell's wives were there looking at purchasing lofts.We had no idea who they were but we overheard the whole conversation from the hallway where we were taking break.I am sure if we had approached them we would have been sent to another job or fired. At the time...I didn't really follow baseball much since I was more into comics.

That and my case manager for my workman's comp case is Mike Fonteno's(sp?) cousin or sister.I honestly can't remember now because I haven't seen or spoke with the lady for some time now.
