It is the perfect case of a player needing a fresh start. Plus Denver can add K-mart in a deal and dump his overpriced contract to a team like the pistons willing to take on a bad contract with Melo. It's also about business and not always talent. |

Who says they do? All the reports say that Detroit called up Denver and offered Chauncey and Prince for Melo...Denver said NO....what can you conclude from this that makes you think Denver wants to trade Melo? Yes they will get offers for Melo because he is an elite superstar, they cant just not answer their phones...but it doesnt mean they WANT to move him. They have no desire to trade him, in my opinion. He is a franchise player that you build around, not one you trade. Best offensive player in the NBA not named Kobe. |

adambomb23 - why dont you address the issue of the Heat perhaps wanting to trade your boy D-Wade? Isn't Wade a superstar?? Why would the Heat want to trade him?

oshmeehan Wrote:adambomb23 - why dont you address the issue of the Heat perhaps wanting to trade your boy D-Wade? Isn't Wade a superstar?? Why would the Heat want to trade him?very true in the fact that wade is my boy:lol: first and foremost, the notation of a superstar is WAAAYYYYYY to much used. for god sakes, melo is not even the best SF in league and he is being called a "superstar" by some. How many superstars can a league truly have? There are at least 6-8 players I'd say are a better than melo. With Wade, he is a superstar by proving himself in the 06 championship and all talks of him being traded lasted a bout a week after the lottery and quickly shot down my wade and the gm. For ur last question why they'd trade him- He is damaged goods. He has permanent nerve damage in one of shoulders and his "always" injured. |

Denver is a joke right now & there not going anywhere unless they make a big trade. To bad AI didn't leave Denver. |

I'm still not convinced that Detroit needs to make a huge splash like that. By trading Billups and Prince, they lose their best 1 on 1 defender and their best clutch performer. As for Denver, they need to be looking at how to unload K-Mart, Nene, Camby, and Iverson and build a young team around Melo and JR Smith.

Billups and Prince not enough for Melo? U kidding me?
Prince alone would be enough for Melo. Melo plays no defense and shoots too much. Prince is a heck of a defender and wont shoot half the shots Melo did. Plus Billups is a proven winner and a former NBA Finals MVP. Nuggets just missed their chance to be a contender. See you in the lottery in '09. |
