I know the idea of it is retarded, I don't like the IDEA of it either... but damn if jealousy flows through my blood every year when Topps releases the sweet looking A&G baseball set and don't ever deliver a quality product like that for us basketball collectors. I know they tried it with Turkey Red and it bombed, but how badly could it hurt Topps if they released a A&G Basketball version, I would be ecstatic, but I'm sure that I am in the minority when I say that.

it could work but they need to stick to the design and not get crazy trying to do something different with it.

That's funny, since A&G has a lot of its success because of the non-sports stuff. But that really comes from baseball being more easily associated with non-sports cards as opposed to basketball. An A&G set exclusive to basketball would be sick, but it wouldn't take off on the same level in proportion to A&G baseball.

Turkey Red BKB didn't really live up to much overall, but the rarer cards found their niche among collectors after a while.
