I see many prices going way over the top in regards to players such as RUNDMC this year. Brady Quinn was really hot in prices not too long ago yet he hasnt seen much playing time. Are these new guys worth all of the $$$$$$$$$? Are the Cutler Gold's worth the big bucks they were last year? What makes collector's go Bonker's when the new guys are out? Im a Niners fan and glad I got rid of my alex smith emerald. All the niner fans seem to be ridng the willis Train... Does anyone feel the same way I do?

seems to be where your from, dallas,denver, and steelers fans seem to pay the most when they get a a top rookie. im glad im a panthers fan and prices dont go to insane.

Its all about the hype and I guess some people think DMC will be the best back ever to play the game. If I pulled anything Reggie Bush (during his Rookie year) or DMC I would sell.

couldn't agree more, I was gonna collect martellus bennett but then he went to the Cowboys and prices are stupid for a guy that will be no better than the 2nd TE. Rookie cards are way over hyped and the best year to collect them is the year after. Although Patrick Willis is legit, the next great MLB

Eh. It's pretty much been the way of the world, ever since cards stopped being used as bicycle noise-making devices, even before actual packs prices got out of control. If the internet had been around back then, I'm sure this thread would have been made in regard to someone paying 13 bucks for a Jim Everett rookie, $1.50 for a Blair Thomas rookie, or $3.50 for a Rick Mirer.
