Does anyone have anything to substantiate their claim that that is a fake patch? We all know the Hawks have absurd logos card-wise - I had a 6 colour Bourque and a Barker that had the entire small tomahawk from the shoulder patch...
If I ever pull a card that nice, I hope I am not treated like a criminal... I remember LS's thread when he pulled a Kane - he said flat out that the patch was absolutely ridiculous. Soon we will be ripping each other apart for pulling 2 colour patches! Who says you can't crack a ITG slab and put it back together somehow? I'm sure it's been done. |

The earlier versions were Beckett slabs, which are pretty hard to take apart with destroying them, I imagine. While the newer versions are in ITG slabs that might be a little easier to take apart, I really don't think you could do it without cracking the slab pretty noticeably. I don't think there's enough bend in the slab to allow you to slip a card out, and that doesn't account for having to reseal the slab in a way that wouldn't make it obvious. Either way, it would make it that much harder to fake a patch, even if it didn't completely eliminate the risk. |
