I have been offered a trade that is heavily in my favor, but dont need the position I am being offered and need the position I am trading. It is a keeper league

I was offered Pujols for Beckett.

I have Morneau at 1B, Ortiz Dh (when healthy), OF Vladdy, Bruce, Markakis, MAtsui, only need 3

My rotation was great at the beggining of the year, with Becket, Haren, Sheets, Gallardo, Chris Young, now it is Beckett, Haren, Sheets, Danks, and a mix of Buchholz, Scott Olson, Colon, Saunders, Kershaw.....

Next year, I also have to shift Miggy Cabrera to 1B or DH if he sticks at 1B, so I would have Pujols, Miggy, morneau, and ortiz, for 1b and DH.

Do I make the deal and try and trade Ortiz and/or Vladdy for pitching? Do I do nothing and not weaken my already injured staff?

personally i would do it beckett doesnt impress me that much when you consider how many runs per game he gets alot of pitchers would put up 20 wins PY with that run production pujols is a guaranteed certain amount of numbers and the rest is bonus but alas do what think is better

I am trying to trade Papi and Saunders for Zambrano to make up for losing Beckett. I hope it is accepted.

I dont know I'd probably rather have Pujols in a keeper. Of course I just traded Manny and Alex Gordon for Pujols. 5 Homeruns later from Manny 3 of them against me, and Pujols on the DL I am definetly not happy. Good thing I picked up Teixeira as back up in another deal. Personally I'd just trade Bruce while he's still hyped and package with someone else good.

Very hard to trade Bruce in a keeper league. Papi is 32 and starting to break down, Vlad is 34 and looks like 44 when is limps to the plate.

keep papi and bruce flip beckett for pujols now and flip morneau in late aug when he heats up

I don't really see how that trade goes through. Beckett really isn't doing much more than an above average SP. I'd accept the deal but I doubt it will go through but I don't know what your veto rules are.

however, you'll have 2 DL 1Bs with pujols and ortiz and it looks like you'd want to trade some 1B talent to fill other spots.
