I was also thinking he may go back to L.A. and serve under Torre until he gets another shot at managing. But I could also see him back in NY too.

Yankees have won 9 of their last 12 Girardi has made soem dumb calls but every coach does. As for Randolph if the yankees get him he is a step up from the curretn bench coach robby thompson. Bring him in as a bench coach and thats it if somehtign goes wrong wait and get piniella thats if the ubs dont resign him after his contract expires

In fairness Willie can't hold Joe's jock, as a manager anyway. I never saw a manager complain that the other team was making great defensive plays to often against them. Willie said that about 3 times over his last few weeks. Also I hate that fact that Willie only singled out some players for public bashing, you need to be consistent. Willie is also is too rigid in his decisions, remember how long it took him to change Wright's spot in lineup because of veterans. Joe goes from the gut, which I love. Sometimes that bites you, but alot of the time it really helps keep team fresh. Just something about catchers and the knowledge they bring to the table.
