I live in Sarasota, FL and the latest shift put us on a direct path. I have been trying to do last minute prep on my house, and praying my collection stays safe. Considering the size of my collection and the time I have, I am simply praying that my house stays intact.
I too have a few trades pending, so they are going to have to wait as well. Best of luck and stay safe to all others in Florida. This storm keeps getting scarier.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards. Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.

Considering the size of my collection and the time I have, I am simply praying that my house stays intact.Be careful, and if you're coastal move inland. They shifted the cone from my coast to yours, but the storm is so darned huge, the whole state of Florida will be pounded for 24 hours. Luckily, I had off and time to get my shutters up ... and way inland. Get water and gasoline ASAP. Things got really crazy down here the past 2-3 days. Good Luck, Brother!! I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value. |
