1986 Jordan BGS 9 - why are these two cards so far apart in value? $2425 and $4000
Hey, I have been in the market for a Jordan rookie for sometime. I found these two completed sales on eBay and the prices are very different!

eBay aution for $2,425 (BGS 9 with these subs 8.5-9.5-9-9), 28 bids

eBay auction for $4,000 (BGS 9 with these subs 8.5-9.5-9-9), 45 bids

Can someone please let me know what I am missing? Smile

Because the last potential REAL bid on the $4000 was at the US $2,975.00 mark...
Collect Michael Jordan, Stockton/Malone/Hornacek/Eaton, Kresimir Cosic, Int'l oddballs
I specialize in hard to find oddities for player/team collectors

Interesting - so you think there was Shill / Fake Bidding going on?

I just noticed the buyer actually left positive feedback-

"Awesome card, awesome transaction, awesome seller! Will do business again! Thank"

I have been caught up in bidding and paid more than I had planned but getting run up $1100 has to hurt for that buyer.
I focus my PC on Ken Griffey Jr but I also collect Jay Buhner, Steve Largent and Ryan Bader. Secondary collection: Seattle teams & Univ. of Arizona

Yup...fake bidders often leave positive feedback to make it look like a legit transaction...then the card gets relisted under a different seller account.

Crazy - but I believe it. So what's the real value on a BGS 9 (and a PSA 9 if you know it)? Thanks.

The old adage is, "Whatever someone's willing to pay." For me, not much. Not a huge fan of the guy, really. He was a phenomenal basketball player, of course, and I loved having him on my favorite team. It almost wasn't fair to everybody else. It's nothing personal, but when he left the Bulls for another team that rather upset me. My PC is Personal, and he just doesn't fit in it right now. He may someday, though. That's the beauty of collecting.
I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.
