Surely these people know these cards aren't worth even 1% of what their price is. I wonder what would happen if someone would make an offer of $10 or less? Geez, there's some people who'll take advantage of a sucker.

My thinking is Topps probably bought mass quantities of mixed base and one way or another a few non Topps cards made it through. To me they are a unique novelty but not really worth money.

Folks are always trying to take turds and make them gold nuggets now days.

That's what I figured happened as well. Since these were buybacks they had to buy them from the secondary market and pull all of the non topps cards out but obviously a few got through. I think it is cool to see these cards with the topps stamp on them though.
