With the recent spikes in 1993 SP Derek Jeter sales, mainly graded ones especially PSA graded ones, I am looking for advice on submitting my BGS graded copies to PSA for crossover service. Has anyone ever done this and if so what was your experience. Looking at recent sales on Ebay the PSA 9 sales are about 5 times more than a BGS 9 copy. The cards I am looking to submit are as follows. A BGS 9 with a 9.5 in centering, 9.5 Edges, 8.5 corners and 9.0 Surface. What do you think my chances or getting a PSA 9 are? the next card is a BGS 8.5 with a 9.5 centering, 8.5 edges, 8.5 corners and a 9.0 in surface, I think this has a better shot at getting a PSA 8.5. Lastly I have a BGS 7.5 with a 9.0 centering, 9.0 edges, 7.0 corners and a 7.5 surface, this should get a 7 or a 7.5 I hope. Thanks in advance for any shared advice

I did it recently .... Cracked three 8.5 BGS and submitted to PSA if you read my recent thread (if I had a BGS 9 I probably wouldn't have cracked it ... that would have been what I wanted but the price difference between the two companies is a huge difference)

I got a PSA 8.5 population 161 and only 533 population higher and selling for $1200-1500 on Ebay currently so take that for what thats worth but one came back N3 evidence of RECOLORATION .... ? Might resubmit it don't know currently and the other was a PSA 7 but the PSA 8.5 is worth 7 BGS 8.5 in the current market ....lol.

PSA 8's are still selling for 400-500 so I think it's a no brainer ....
I still have three more to send in still hoping for a PSA 9 $$$$$$$$
I guess this is just a PSA card now ... Don't know why but is ?

Lol ... I prefer the BGS cases but from some reason this card is a PSA prefer ... The price difference could be 6015 of the 13156 SP's graded with Beckett are 8.5's or better

And only 533 of 11,883 are 8.5's or better with PSA ....

Doesn't PSA grade more generously than BGS? That's what I've seen in my own limited experience. I would pay more for a BGS 8.5 than a PSA 9, personally.

I guess sometimes the PSA 10 is equal to a BGS 9.5 which causes the confusion of more generous .... but I did break some 8.5's out of BGS cases and they've came back N3: Evidence of recoloration and N6: minimum size requirement ...... and beckett graded them

If Beckett ever graded the first pristine 10 ...... the sky's the limit on the value of that card

Strange. It shows 4 on the Registry page. It has 8 Stadium Club Murphy on there too which confirms that on the population reports.

I think Beckett is up to something because it did show 3 at one time on the population reports. I had made this thread asking about it earlier this year and they have since changed it but added one more on the Registry page. I figured they didn't exist as there was no talk of it anywhere but after they added the fourth I thought they must be legit at that point.

Wow ... Wasn't aware that topps and Beckett had done that .... The regrade deal ? Sounds fishy to me
