1997 Score baseball second series confusion

1997 Score baseball second series confusion
I have a question concerning Beckett's listing of the 1997 Score baseball card second series. I n 2012, I listed cards from series two in my Organizer inventory that had the gold oval on the front as Premium Stock cards even though the oval states "Hobby Reserve by Score". Sometime after that, those cards listed as such disappeared from my Organizer. In the process of adding those back into my Organizer, I could only find the option of "Reserve Collection" to do so. Now, after some serious research, I find out that cards from the Reserve Collection are numbered the same as the Hobby Reserve but have a large "RC" on the reverse side. My question is: Can Beckett relist the second series of 1997 Score with the gold label and numbered the same as the base card as Premium Stock cards? If not, I will have to remove cards from my Organizer, rather than confuse traders on what cards I have available for trade. Any thoughts on how this can happen? Thanks.

1997 Score Parallels are a huge pain. Score changed things between series that year and everyone has been confused since. Beckett at one time did have all cards from both series listed as Premium Stock now they only have series one. I think Beckett should add those card back into the OPG. My Beckett Annual from 2004 has a good description of the Premium Stock, but no mention of Hobby Reserve.

I did some scanning to illustrate the differences and hopefully clear up some of the confusion, since I am the one pestering people about the Reserve Collection cards....

Scott,

You have nailed it perfectly. Now I hope someone at Beckett pricing can pick up on this and change the online price guide accordingly. Many thanks for all the effort that you took to explain every thing and do it with photos.

Glad I could help illustrate. Those reserve collections have been haunting me for years, I must have traded for a dozen (and tried to trade for dozens more) in the last several years and only 1 has actually been a reserve collection. Score really fouled thing up trying to switch parallels between series one and two and collectors have been confused on them since.
