I use to be such a hoarder
I missed the old Fleer and other card companies. More unreleased cards to search for. Now the thrill is gone.

I also hoard cards if the price is right for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th and so on they can be good trade bait at some point as well.
Derek Jeter Collector from 1992-1996. 305 out of 306 99% complete.

1450/1919 1990's Jeter cards 76%
