What's your opinion, HOF or not?
Just wondering, do you guys think Marshawn Lynch will end up in the HOF? Statistically, he'll likely end up around 11k yards, if he has 2 more good years, leaving him around #20 all-time. Some of the guys in that range haven't made it, yet he arguably has been the heart and soul of the Seahawks, and they probably don't have a SB, or the team they have, without him.
Just wondering if I should be grading the rainbow I have of him lol. HOF=graded, not HOF= Penny sleeve and binder.

Nate,

I agree that if he has two more solid years (doesn't have to be great) he will be a Hall of Famer. Maybe not first ballot.

He is this generation's Earl Campbell in a league that has evolved into a passing league.

If he played on one of the historical teams such as the Packers, Steelers, Bears, Giants, or Cowboys, his jacket would already be made.

THE ONLY THING THAT HAS ACTUALLY SLOWED HIM DOWN, IS HIS SUPPOSED ATTITUDE. I AGREE JEREMY BRUISING RUNNER IN A TIME WHERE A RB COMMITTEE IS MORE POPULAR AND FAVORABLE. HE WILL MAKE HALL OF FAME.

So I should start grading those then huh? Lol. Just my for my own collection, I won't be getting rid of them unless something happened where I needed the money. I like them graded for protection.

RE: What's your opinion, HOF or not?
Here's how I look at it.

Pros:
5x Pro Bowl
1x All Pro 1st Team
1x All Pro 2nd Team
2x rushing TD leader
Prolific post-season play, averaging 4.9 YPC with 917 Yds and 9 TDs in 10 games

Cons:
Never lead the league in rushing yards
Averages about 2 receptions a game in a league that is favoring passing
Is 4 years of sustained elite stats enough longevity?

Final thoughts:
As of right now I would say no however he does still have time to bolster his case. Another dominant playoff run, reaching the magical 10k yards mark, and maintaining his on-field reputation would cause him to be elected within 5-10 years of his first eligibility. If Thurman Thomas had to wait 7 years, someone with lesser credentials certainly will.
