Topps Online Question: Allen & Ginter X?

Topps Online Question: Allen & Ginter X?
I am a giant A & G fan as most of you know and there is a online ginter product that is exclusive to Topps coming out. I have never bought anything off the Topps site, is it difficult and do they run out of stock fast. I thought about buying 3 or 4 boxes. Also do you know if all the cards in the packs are going to be black or just one card per pack? Thanks and happy hunting.

RE: Topps Online Question: Allen & Ginter X?
I saw the announcement as well and am intrigued. I bought the glossy A&G set from Topps back in 2011, figuring it would sell out quickly. One surprising thing I have noticed with the "exclusive" boxes and packs on Topps.com, is that within 6 months to a year they are on other retailers sites (DAC, Blowout, etc) and usually for much less money.
I have bought a lot of stuff off Topps.com, everything from boxes, sets, 5x7 cards (which I really like), and even some t-shirts. The last year or so their "limited" sets and boxes haven't sold out quickly, so I don't rush to buy one unless I really really want one right away. All that being said, I am on the edge with buying a box of the A&G X cards. I hope they show a preview of them before they go on sale, as I would like to see how the black border looks.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards.  Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.

Here's a look at them.

Apparently autos and relics are on white stock while the base is black.
I collect Hall of Fame baseball player cards and cards of current and retired superstars.

They always do this......keep looking, within the week or so they will be back in "stock". Only times I've seen different is when there is a defined print run.

OP...I've never had any issues with buying stuff on line from Topps as long as it's in stock. Shipping is usually fast and nicely packed.

I will say though that collation may be an issue from time to time. I've gotten exactly the same boxes collation wise on the base cards more than a couple of times.

Go for it as the cards look great if you want to complete a set.
