2009 Tristar Obak - Printing Plates ??

Few days ago I noticed that there's over few hundred of printing plates from 2009 Obak set was posted on eBay. I tried to google up to see if they were in packs back then and I couldnt find anything. Now Im starting to questions that they were home made cards but I might be wrong.

Nope. They were produced from a company called Tristar. They are actually show promoters. They have done larger shows across the U.S. since the 80's, specializing in athlete autographs. They tried their hand at sports cards but didn't do so well. Their plates and so forth were most likely sold on the secondary markets and at the shows they promoted, as they liquidated that branch of the company.
