@ footbal, Ray Rice never plead guilty if I read all the articles about the incident correct. He plead not guilty and agreed to do the program to avoid further prosecution, so him doing the program was not an admission of guilt.
I believe this is why he only got a two game suspension initially, because nothing really came out in/from trial regardless of the video or not. The New Jersey legal system was basically going to sweep it under the rug so why should the NFL do anything different is what I'm thinking the thought process was from the NFL concerning this. Both the New Jersey legal system and the NFL completely botched everything concerning this incident in my opinion.
