What happened to Matt Garza?
In 2005 he flew through the Minors faster than anyone I have seen to join the Twins towards the end of that year. He is now on Tampa Bay. He is doing ok, but he should be doing a lot better considering the team he is on. I wonder what happened to the stud that went up the ranks so fast. What do you guys think?

He does what most Hot Prospects do, have decent but forgetable careers at the MLB level...

I disagree - his career so far has been anything but forgettable.

I am just hoping he can turn things around soon and become as dominate as he was in the Minors. His run in 2005 was extremely impressive.

Unfortunately, this is true. A player's minor league success is an indicator of what a player's MLB success might be, but nothing is certain.

Incidentally, Garza's fast rise was in 2006, not 2005. He was drafted in 2005 and pitched 14 games that year (Rookie ball and low A). In 2006, he pitched for high A, AA, and AAA before getting called up.
