I guess if you can find one of the remaining 9 unripped ones then you could replace the one you have or rip it again, lol.

How to lose a $200 card in a few seconds?
|
Look at the Trout pictured and read the top of the card. Topps put's into thier Allen & Ginter products cards that contain other smaller cards inside. To get the smaller card out you must "rip" (really make a very tiny rip /tear on the back) the original card. The original poster had this one sitting for over a year and finally decided to rip it........what was inside was the Hamilton mini card shown.
*When it's all said and done - all we have left is our reputation.
Thanks, Joe.
Ouch!
I collect Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr., and Philadelphia Eagles autographed graded cards!

I bet you whoever put that in there was laughing their butt off on that!!!Yeah, I mean at least put a Trout EXT in there! I'm certain that those cards aren't like 'pack random' .... You're right, purposely put there, in fact, they probably have a list of what's in where, to prevent some fraudulent damage claim or something. THAT would be a great list to take a peek at ... "Hmmmm, mini Koufax red auto is in Machado 7/25 rip!? I'll have to keep my eyes open for that one on eBay " (08-09-2014, 08:57 PM)Phillies_Joe Wrote: Oh man...sorry about that DrM. I agree that topps should have never put redemptions in these, and that your concern from day one was the possibility of leaving something on the table. Still an awesome card with alot of current value ripped and it will just continue to climb as he marches to Cooperstown. Better luck next time........Thanks Joe. Yeah, i guess it would have sucked worse (just barely ) if I opened it 3 years from now to discover a redemption for a signed GU Trout jersey that expired. That feeling is what really prompted me to open it .... Now if I can only catch a ride in the Delorean from Back to the Future to warn myself .... And while im there, maybe leave 'younger me' a sports almanac, too (08-09-2014, 09:38 PM)Phillies_Joe Wrote: Look at the Trout pictured and read the top of the card. Ripping it is one thing ..., getting the mini out, unscathed is another .... One day soon, I'll post the back ... Not a pretty site I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.
I blame Pete. He pulled a Koufax out of his rip card.

I was okay not knowing if there was a Koufax auto or a Mattingly EXT ... It was the thought of a GU Koufax Brooklyn Dodger Cap redemption spoiling inside ! Unripped = 100.00-120.00 from ebya
Ripped + EXT = 15.00-20.00 ebya (08-11-2014, 06:07 AM)jcollyer Wrote: Unripped = 100.00-120.00 from ebyaThanks for cheering me up! I think you should get some award for waiting as long as you did to rip. He's not someone I collect, but I would have to sell a card like that pronto to keep my grubby mitts from ripping it.
