Thanks for your email. I can certainly see where you’d think a Trout card #’d/999 should be $12. To me, that sounds like a perfect price for a Trout card #’d/999. We’ve adjusted the price, but not down to $12…Let me explain.
When the product initially came out the card was comfortably selling in the $10-$25 range, which is where we had it priced. Then, it looks like these Elite Series Trout cards dried up on the secondary market. Trout is smoking hot and it looks like some have started to show back up on eBay. Those $35, $60, $70 and $103 and $197 (!) sales showed up in our reports just this week so we raised the card to $60-$120 just days ago. eBay wasn’t reacting to our price, rather we reacted to the sales on eBay. After reexamining our market information, we decided that $30-$80 is probably a better value for the card right now, but we will be keeping an on this and all of Trout’s cards in the coming weeks.
and all that said, i give you the example of the trout gatorade card, which went from 150 to 120 to 40 to 30 in about 3 months
