They could sue and likely even win, on some cases, but then they would chase off other athletes from signing contracts.
When a person makes several million a year, I imagine setting down to make a few grand isn't as appealing as it would be to me or you. So what do you do?
I imagine some will say, just don't include them in the product or a like comment. Well, personally, I wouldn't mind pulling say a Brady auto redemption (as most are), knowing he may take 2 years to sign them. Its just all part of the game.
