Deal of the century? - No, just an eBay goof

Deal of the century? - No, just an eBay goof
I was looking at some completed auctions to gauge a good price for a John Havlicek auto to add to my collection. I stumbled upon this auction that sold just over a week ago and am still dumbfounded as to why it sold so cheaply. It was a 3 day auction, but it ended on a Sunday evening, so there should have been at least some traffic for this auction. I am simply shocked and wish I could have found the auction last weekend, so I could have either won it cheaply or at least gotten it to a decent price.

This is 1 of the BIGGEST reasons why I wish more people would realize that eBay auctions are not the end all when it comes to pricing and value. As there is no way someone could convince me that this card is worth so little.
Never mind, I just noticed that the seller had ended the auction early. I sure wish eBay would make some kind of notation about this when searching "sold" auctions, as the card didn't actually sell at this price, but rather the seller ended the auction early and that price was the high bid when it ended.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards.  Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.

It looks like the seller ended it early, rather than just selling uber low.

yep seller ended item early (item was sold) someone probably offered the seller a price he/she was happy with or they simply were worried it wouldn't bring much and ended it.

I just wish eBay didn't list these as sold when searching "sold" auctions, and if they are going to list them as completed auctions then they should get a different color (like they do already, by putting sold in green and not sold in red). It is just frustrating to see the price in green, indicating it sold at that price, and then have to open the auction to see the little note that says the seller ended the auction early.

True- not exactly a streamlined process.

Incidentally I keep trying to find a Havlicek auto in an OSU uni but they seem to go higher than most other college-jersey players where there tends to be less of a premium. Too many Buckeyes like me out there I guess.
I collect Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, and Ohio State players (football and basketball) in OSU gear. I strongly prefer 90's-era cards and use newer cards primarily for trade bait!
