Graded cards with damaged cases
Hello
My friend has some cards that he got graded and the case they are in has some fire damage but the cards inside are all okay. What should he do and how will this effect the value of the card and the integrity of the grading?

Ouch! I would suggest reslabbing them if he has the funds. Hopefully they don't smell. If they do stick them in some boxes with a fabric softener sheets for a few weeks. Hopefully insurance can cover the costs of reslabbing if he didn't get full value for them already.

That's scary. Glad the cards inside are safe.
I'd probably be the idiot to die of smoke inhalation after I ran back in to save my collection, throwing it out the window while the wife yells at me.

Provided the seals are intact he can get them re-slabbed for $5 per card plus the shipping cost per return.
Fill out a grading form as normal and put RESLAB next to each line.
