I was just guessing as to what thier thinking was regarding designation of RC. I don't disagree with anything other than I think you should truly have 1 official RC of a player, regardless of how many products you throw out there per company.

My guess is that Puig and the others already have a designated chrome rookie card, in this case, in Topps Chrome. Those have the logo. The update chromes do not.
Collecting Doug Waechter (118/149), Jared Sandberg (107/125), 1994-95 BB Michael Jordan (69/89), 1977-1997 Eddie Murray (877/943), and Bo Jackson BB/FB 1986-1995 (447/486), 2007 Fleer Mini Gold (126/370). Only completing trades with something on my lists.

Actually the Chrome Update cards also have the RC logos. But you may be right about them already having Topps Chrome RCs, so Beckett wouldn't list the Update cards as RCs. That makes the most sense.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards.  Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.
Jedd Gyorko 2010-2013: Have 329/419 including 1/1s
