Card Error?

Card Error?
I have two 2004 SP prospects autograph cards that when I go try to look up the prices/add to my organize list say that they should be serial numbered on the front. The cards I have don't have any serial numbers on them but on closer inspection you can see the spot (a rectangular sticker or indent) where it should have a serial number. Are these cards errors or does the price guide missing these cards? Thanks for any info!

Sounds like the foil stamping machine ran out of foil stamping ink. Not an error. Just a flaw.
I collect Hall of Fame baseball player cards and cards of current and retired superstars.

With the blank spot for the serial number, they were probably kept in reserve for redemptions/damaged card exchange and made their way into the hobby with the bankruptcy sale.
50,000+ Red Sox cards and counting.
