Yes. The dreaded "R" word. I enjoy buying older products but never know if I will be buying a product that has expired redemption cards. I also don't know if the product will even HAVE redemption cards in the case/box OR WHEN the redemption cards expire before I buy them. I am a huge fan of the 2011 draft class and I know that most redemption cards from that year are beginning to expire. It is obvious to me that when I buy a box of 2005 or 2007 that if I pull a redemption card I am basically screwed, but is there somewhere I can find when the redemption cards expire before I buy? I have looked at different sites of card-makers, but they do not seem to provide the info. Even my LCS does not know most of the time. Does anyone have any helpful insight?

I usually will email the customer service of which ever company.makes the product you're interested in. UD and Topps have responded every time with the info. Tried Panini only once and big surprise no response. UD has twice honored expired redemptions for me. Once with the card and once with replacement. Ive heard that topps will sometimes do that too.

Topps honored one for me that was 3 years expired.
