Some of you have seen this before as it was owned by another member (Trevor - wingnut888) but this is a very cool item for my Patrick Roy collection and really just awesome for any collector.

There are 25 autos on the mini helmet and I have been able to identify 18 of them so far.

Im going to agree with Messier, LeClair, and say Shanahan but let the Hull collector answer that.

I think you're right on the Messier, usually he would sign first/last name together, but it looks like his - just hurried.
The Adam Oates, I don't think so. I have one of his and the A is pointed, and his last name is fully legible.
The next one is Shanahan. Brett Hull is quite different.
And the Mark Recchi I think you're right as well, I checked against one I have and it looks close.
The next one is John LeClair, shows his #10.
The 2 unidentified, and the Oates, I have no idea who they are. I checked all my autos against the All-Star roster and can't come up with anything.
I am thinking though, that's a lot of signatures to put on a small helmet, and just imagine trying to sign such a small rounded item.
Your helmet is very cool, nice pickup.

Sweet, just had a look on eBay and you are correct. Was he an assistant coach on one of the teams?

My guess is that, as the winning head coach in the previous Stanley Cup Finals, Crawford automatically earned Western Conference bench boss duties for the 1997 All-Star Game. I believe that Doug MacLean is another signature found on your helmet. He was the head coach when Florida faced Colorado in the finals that previous spring, so I think he would've garnered head coaching duties on the Eastern side.
