So - while I was at the National this year, I dropped off a few things for grading. I wasnt even sure that anyone would grade them, but Beckett came through for me.
Ill see about getting pics up soon, but I got them back about a week ago or so and have been preoccupied with work to get some decent pics (and scans dont work well for graded cards)
I submitted three Diamond Matchbooks... not covers... full matchbooks... including strikers and matches (you know, the way that a matchbook is supposed to be). Frankly, I dont understand matchbook collectors that dont go for the full matchbook. That is just weird. Besides, how often do you find full matchbooks from the 1930s? I do love a rare collectible.
I got the following Diamond Matchbooks back:
1935 Series 2, Chick Hafey - BGS 4
1935-6 Series 3 Type 1, Roy Joiner BGS 6
and the amazing item:
1935-6 Series 3, Type 1, John Kerr, BGS 8
Like I said, Ill find some time soon to post pics, but had to share. I was very pleased.
