Question on 1989 UNC GOLD set...with HOLES...
Can someone explain to me what this was all about?? Why the punch through the foot? I have a whole set like that!

All I can think of is that the gold set was sold only as a set lot. It's kind of like a deck of casino playing cards - once the deck has been used, they punch a hole through it. Kind of the same with some of upper deck early redemption sets.

Ya...I think it was only sold as a set...but then again, I've seen binder sets with and without holes...
