Singles. Just singles.
I collect Bears, Celtics, Yankees, Cardinals prospects, and Razorbacks
I would say buy something that you've had your eye on that you normally wouldn't get, but save some for either some packs or some boosters. Maybe even go to your LCS and see if they have any hobby boxes for cheap, and use a little to bust a few packs.
Buy a graded copy - 1981 Joe Montana.
Seriously. Because when you don't want it anymore - you can sell it for nearly the same that you bought it for. No risk. (08-02-2013, 04:22 PM)Razorback9 Wrote: Singles. Just singles.Best way to go, at least this way you get something you want.
singles...best idea..boxes are such a crap shoot..
I would go with three routes.
1. Buy a bunch of singles of guys you like 2. Buy 1 card that will be the cornerstone of your PC 3. Save the $200 until you know exactly what you want or if possible keep adding to the $200 and then buy something epic Good Luck with whatever you choose!
Unique Cards:
Dolphins - 6000+ Marino - 2140 Zach Thomas - 869 Jason Taylor - 749 Lamar Miller - 341 (08-03-2013, 05:10 PM)mooncricket916 Wrote: Best way to go, at least this way you get something you want.Yep. My momma always said, "A hobby box is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." I collect Bears, Celtics, Yankees, Cardinals prospects, and Razorbacks
Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm just going to sit on it now. Wait for something nice to roll around.
Opening a $200 hobby box would be fun, but nailing some singles would be wiser. You know exactly what you're getting and need not turn anything around to get what you really want.
I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.
