BGS Canadian Submissions

BGS Canadian Submissions
I have used BGS/BVG in the past. I have a question regarding Beckett's fees.

Why doesn't Beckett offer their Canadian and other international customers the option of using USPS ground mail, to return cards?
You offer it to Americans? Why not everybody else?

Right now, BGS uses USPS Global Express to return cards.
That costs $54, before your grading fees. If a collector is from Canada
or elsewhere, It is not worth grading a card unless it is valued at
several hundred dollars. BGS is pricing themselves out of the
market. Many people cannot afford such a high fee.

It would make more business sense for Beckett to offer ground service to ALL customs, not just Americans. You would most likely increase your business, and pass PSA as the grading leader.

RE: BGS Canadian Submissions
There is no tracking with USPS ground international. To send across the border would cost them more in losses than losing a customer. I dont see how shipping fees would make them pass PSA as PSA is in line with BGS. Blame the Post Office ... Not Beckett.

CANADA EUROPE ALL OTHER REGIONS/COUNTRIES
1 - 10 items $42.00 1 - 10 items $48.00 1 - 10 items $50.00
11 - 20 items $46.00 11 - 20 items $53.00 11 - 20 items $55.00
21 - 30 items $50.00 21 - 30 items $55.00 21 - 30 items $60.00
31 - 40 items $55.00 31 - 40 items $65.00 31 - 40 items $65.00
41 - 60 items $65.00 41 - 60 items $70.00 41 - 60 items $75.00
Over 60 - $1.00 per item Over 60 - $1.25 per item Over 60 - $1.25 per item

RE: BGS Canadian Submissions
I am not blaming Beckett. I am simply asking a question. Also, the prices that you quote are wrong. According to the printable submission form from the BGS website, return postage fees for
USPS Global Express Mail are as follows:

Cards Postage
1-20 $54.00
21-40 $72.00
41-60 $90.00
61-80 $110.00
81-100 $130.00
Per 100 $150.00

As for PSA being in "line" with BGS regarding fees; that is the problem. BGS can do better by lowering fees, and make grading more cost effective for customers.

RE: BGS Canadian Submissions
My prices I listed are off the PSA website NOT Becketts. And like myself and Jacoby said - There is no tracking with the shipping methods (costs) you are suggesting. If you feel that is ok please spend $8 and send me $1000 worth of cards and I promise I will let you know when I receive them. Tracking not only protects the shipper it also protects the shipee. With tracking it is able to be determined when and where it was delivered and with Beckett it is also able to tell you who signed for it. If all post offices worldwide worked in harmony then it wouldn't be an issue, but each country does things their way and out of country people are stuck footing the bill.

RE: BGS Canadian Submissions
Your calcs are about right. Click the grading link up top, then on the left click FAQ, then go to shipping and on the right of the list it gives international costs per 20 cards (20,40,60 etc)
