Mike Moustakas BCCG 9 from 2007 Tristar. I saw you were a Royals fan, so I thought you might be interested.

I've never commented on one of your threads, but I have some advice for you. You mentioned that you want to do it right. IF that's the case, I'd steer clear of BCCG Graded cards. I collect only BGS/BVG Graded Nolan Ryans and I made the mistake of buying some BCCG Graded Ryans. Over on the BGS forums you will see that they advise against BCCG Graded cards. They're both Beckett Grading products, but a different and less stringent scale is used for BCCG Graded cards. There have been cases where a BCCG 10 has been crossed over to BGS and it received as low as a 6.
Just thought that I'd help prevent you from making the same mistake that I made, seeing as how you're just starting out.

Thanks! I will take that advice. If I grabbed one I was thinking at regular I slabbed value anyway but it seems your saying it could be worth even less than that. I'd be best just to stay away. Your input is appreciated. Thanks!

I've always collected RC cards on the side but never graded. So this is all a little new to me. So any input is appreciated for sure.

Something else to go by, is to stick with the Big 3: BGS/PSA/SGC. As long as you stick with these 3 Grading companies, you can't go wrong. Preferences differ with vintage cards, though. I really like Beckett, so I use BVG for my vintage Nolan Ryans.
