How much is 2003 Lebron James Topps Finest gold refractor limited to 25 worth?
Juat wondering what you thought a 2003-04 Lebron James Topps Finest gold refractor limited to 25 graded BGS 9 was worth? I know two have sold on Ebay the last year for over $10,000, but haven't seen anyone buy any lately especially with 2 cards currently for sale for $9300-$9999. Not even any offers. I just bought one for $7875. This is such a rare and beautiful card, not sure why there isn't a higher demand for this rookie card. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

Dang man you spend over 7k on a card that you're not even sure of its real value? Risky move.

I doubt that card ever sold for 10k. Lots of fake sales.

I don't see how it could be worth more then 5k, but that's just my opinion. Lots of people out there see james as the GOAT already with just two rings lol... So who knows? Good luck

Paying over $7k for that card seems high. Of the last 2 sales on eBay only one was legit and it sold for under $6k. The other one "sold" for $22.5k, but if you notice the serial number for that card is the same as the one that sold for under $6k (except that it was a BGS8.5 when it sold for $6k). It wouldn't surprise me if the card on eBay for $10k right now that doesn't state the exact serial number is that same card (having been un-slabbed and resubmitted).

Personally, I would rather buy a couple different 03-04 Exquisite cards of Lebron for that price. Heck you could get a BGS9 03-04 Exquisite autographed patch card on eBay right now for about half of what you paid.

Actually I was the one who bought the card that said it sold for $22,000. It was a mistake on Ebay. The seller previously listed at $22,000 before I bought it for $7875.

What do you think about the BGS 10 2003 UD Legends Rookie Impression with Lebron and Jordan's auto limited to 25 throwback edition for $7100?

That is a really nice card. Personally I would buy the BGS9.5 for $4800, or the raw card that's listed for $4k if you could get it for closer to $3k (as it looks nice). However I definitely understand the extra for being a BGS10. I just personally wouldn't pay over 50% more for extra 0.5 grade (especially when at least 36% have been graded as BGS10).

The interesting thing about that card is it has a print run of 25, yet there have been 27 graded by BGS (including 12 as BGS9.5, and 9 as BGS10). There have also been some graded by SGC and PSA, not to mention some raw cards as well. I am sure that some of the cards have been re-grades or cross-over grades.

That is very interesting. And funny.
I appreciate Chicago players that begin competing within the city's sports organizations and stay with these teams throughout their careers.
