I am curious if there are any Bowman Chrome Autos that people think could reach the level of Pujols?

Do you think anyone will come close?

I feel that right now Ryan Braun could have the potential to be the closest, but he isn't even near the value of Pujols.

Chrome autos arent as rare as they were in 2001

The sheer number of chrome autos produced per player is staggering now, compared to what it was.

i dont think anyone will. for several reasons.
1. not as many produced like today.
2. pujols has beena monster for many years, braun hasnt.
3. pujols wasnt in packs, it was only for redemption

i think all that has something to do with it

The Pujols card is special for the reasons listed above as well as it being #/500. The only other cards that have a chance (and by chance I mean put up continuous numbers year in and year out) are the parallels of David Wright and Ryan Braun. Its too early to tell from guys like Heyward, LaPorta, and Upton as they all had earlier licensed auto'd cards.

If you want a Pujols refractor, you have to buy 1 of the 500 out there

If you want a refractor from a guy in 2006 bowman chrome (as an example) you have to buy 1 of the 981 out there.

If Upton or Maybin become stars on the level of Pujols, the AFLAC refractor autos of those two could reach $2500.

That is the current price of the 2001 BC Pujols, but I remember 9.5 sales being far more than that a few years back.

981? There are 500 auto'd refractors made each year. And the Sterling refractor LaPorta and Heyward have print runs of 199 (black are #/25).

If the 'rules' for placing the RC logo existed back in 2001, I wonder if that Pujols card would have had the RC logo.

But yes, any card could potentially be worth a lot of money but there's no reason to think that only one 'type' of card would be, this includes GU, parallels, autos, RCs, first-year cards, etc.

I am refering to total refractors add the refs, x, blue, ect ect

I did not count sterling refractors at all.

I got into collecting in 2005 so I did not know about the print run, and that Pujols was only a redemption.

I would consider Braun a monster up to this point. He is putting up numbers very similar to Pujols if not even better.

Pujols in his first 2 years had 1180 at bats with 71 home runs
Braun to this point has had 736 at bats with 54 home runs. Braun is also a threat on base to steal as where Pujols doesn't have much for stolen bases.
