Pujols in his first 2 years had 1180 at bats with 71 home runs
Braun to this point has had 736 at bats with 54 home runs. Braun is also a threat on base to steal as where Pujols doesn't have much for stolen bases.

Yes, it would've been a logoed rookie card because that was his first year active in the major leagues.

As to the OP, no there will never be another $3500 Bowman Chrome card, excluding superfractors and such, barring a major restructuring of the product back to 2001, combined with a player like Pujols. They just make too many these days.

Well, never say never. The rules they have in place for rookie cards, if someone did come out of almost nowhere with NO cards from previous years, no BDP 'inserts' and no team USA autographs or anything like that, and has a huge first half, I would think the potential does exist for a four-digit card if they are limited. Maybe a 'late addition' kind of deal where they pack out a few hundred redemptions for autographs. If, say, Jay Bruce had no 2005-2007 cards, he might be a candidate for something like that.

There are less than 500 Pujols RCs out there...how many times have we seen someone pull a redemption only to realize the redemption period is long finished?

If you want a Pujols refractor, you have to buy 1 of the 500 out there

If you want a refractor from a guy in 2006 bowman chrome (as an example) you have to buy 1 of the 981 out there.

Another thing that people overlook is that these were from redemption. And as much as this sucks, ALL LEFTOVER CARDS THAT REDEMPTIONS WERE NOT SENT IN FOR ARE DESTROYED BY TOPPS. So even if the stated print run might have been 500, there could conceivably only be 350 of them that were actually pulled and redeemed before the deadline.
