Good day, Beckett Community!

Though I have not been posting my new acquisitions all that often, it does not mean that things have not been coming in. Haha! I have just been slack on posting, as there are a load of things on the go for my family and me. The LCS has boxes of 2010-11 Zenith on for $49.00, so I decided to snap a couple of them up.



Nothing to write home about, but nice none-the-less. The two Dare To Tear cards were Martin St. Louis, which yielded this:

I was torn about the Stammer (get it?), but John (bluefrozencanuck) egged me on to cut it open. I wrecked the St. Louis, so it is gone, but the Stammer lives with a small incision along the black line that crosses the back of the card. The surgery was a huge success, and the result was awesome!



Not too shabby, huh? I would say that I hit some decent card for two $50 boxes!

I also decided that I should snap up a box of Rookie Anthology to see if I can snag some nice trade bait.

I like the Lemieux, but the rest are pretty commonplace. Oh well.

I also bought a box of SP Authentic. This set is nice, and I like to potential in there... but I am always behind the 8-ball when it comes to this product. I am not too sure if I will buy any more, but time will tell.

Not exactly the biggest name out there, but that Bernier piece is stellar!

I'm not buying SP Authentic this year - your Zenith's well outperform the SPA box and there's really not enough Red Wings goods or premium rookies available to make it worth the SPA price point for me. With the Hit / miss on landing a patch what it is, I'll pass this year. Congrats on your goodies (Lemieux, Bernier, Hall, etc) Randi! That Bernier is unique!

I love it too! A jewel from the crown. It's too bad that LA is HORRID for wasting talented goalies by keeping them behind their top tender, and refusing to trade them. Remember Jamie Storr? Not many people do, but he was stuck on the LA bench for so long he just folded. Hopefully they can get a good enough deal to move Bernier so he can show his talents.

Thanks, Eddie! I am so glad to see you back and active. The Zenith are well worth the small price, so I will continue to snag them. Might even try for a Mem or AU set. Haha! The SP Authentic has a small amount of cards that I would like, but nothing too big.

congrats...the one box i ever bought of this stuff i had a rookie auto worth 8.00 and NOTHING else....everything else was base or common inserts

Nice stuff, I just like to open stuff to get trade bait as well, but every time I try to trade it doesn't work. lol
