Yes the one that listed was before he made it to the majors so i think ima send the card to becktt and get it graded and then put it on ebay. hopefully it comes back as a 10 pristine, but ive never hit a rare, important card like this before so its like baseball cards 101 for me right now lol

Why waste your money grading it? List it up and take the cash.

+1 Total waste IMO but obviously it's your card so good luck with it. Better hope for no injuries and for him to be as hot when you get the card back to sell. I think in the end you will cost yourself $$$

If there's only five made, the grade won't matter!!!!

Seriously, every day you wait to sell that thing you are costing yourself hundreds of dollars.

I do not see the point of grading anything that's not from the 70's or earlier. I know at least for me, if you're trying to sell a recent rookie card, and you grade it, I'm not even looking.

The Puig red that sold for $1100 was sold AFTER he made it to the majors. It was actually sold twice. The first time is sold for $550 and that was BEFORE he made it but then it was sold again on June 9th in the middle of the hype. The hype has cooled down a bit and would venture to say you get a tad over 1k.

As for grading, I grade stuff I am going to keep mostly for protection and I like how they look slabbed. If I were going to sell something like this, I wouldn't grade it. By the time you get it back, the hype is going to die down. Even if it comes back as a 10, when you balance that against timing, you will certainly leave money on the table.

I would do a no-reserve auction starting at .99. I have a few Puig items for sale on the bay right now and I'm getting a lot of views/bids--and they're low-end compared to yours. I think you could get a thousand. If I were you, I wouldn't wait either. It's hard to imagine the market getting any hotter than it is right now.
