Does Beckett Grade Certified Encased/Un-circulated Manufacturer Cards???
Hello All,

Does Beckett Grade Certified Encased/Un-circulated Manufacturer Cards???

Should the cards be removed from their original casing?

Does Beckett slab them while they are still in their original casing?

Would this lower the value of the card if removed to be graded & slabbed?

Thank you in advance for your help,

Rollx8

Yes they grade them. Dont know if they remove them or not as the one they did for me was already removed. Think grading will increase the value if the grade is high enough.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure if I should remove the ones I have for them to grade them or not....so I'm trying to get as much feedback as I can before I do :/

They will grade them, but in the case of Uncirculated cards, the slab will not indicate it was an Uncirculated card. It will carry the value of a regular circulated card. Something to think about if there is a significant difference in value.

I don't believe this is true. For instance 2003 Bowman Lance Briggs RC there is an Uncirculated Gold and Silver. The base rc has a black border. I had a Uncirculated Silver (sent it still in the case) graded by BGS, and it says 2003 Bowman Silver Uncirculated on the BGS label.

John....did they keep the your card encased or did they take it out & just slabbed it?

Thanks,

I guess when there is a very distinguishable difference between the Uncirculated and Regular, then they'll label it as so. As for 2002 Bowman Chrome Baseball, Uncirculated and Circulated look exactly the same, and would not label it as such.
