If it was a shirt off their back one...Id rather them sign the fight strap personally. I dont really care for signed game worns....Game issued, as you can see I have NO problem getting them signed. I can often get these jerseys cheaper than buying a regular Edge stlye from a retailer (player depending of course)
Autos on game worns take away form the game worn aspect of the jersey IMO.

This is how I like to see it via metaphor:
My dream car is a DeLorean. I buy one and then decide to take out its engine and replace it with a BMW V12 race engine, and then add new seats to it, then add more modern headlights to the vehicle. All of a sudden, it goes from being a vintage and collectible DeLorean to a modified monstrosity.
Same goes for game-used memorabilia (except for sticks, sticks are the exception since they are low cost to being with and some players never gave up their sticks without signing them). Adding an autograph after the fact alters memorabilia's original charm and true game-used nature. It was game-used, and a part of sports history, and then it was modified to contrive an element of collectibility. The modified versions regularly sell for less than an untouched piece of game-used beauty.
The game-used collectors fall primarily into a 70-30 or 80-20 split when it comes to the autographing of memorabilia. Some find ways to wash out autographs, but that is just as bad as having it signed in my honest opinion. Save the signing for the game-issued stuff, or the replica stuff, leave the pieces of history be.

so...for once...I'M A MINORITY...YEY! lol I understand your view, but as primarily an autograph collector...I want that stuff auto'ed baby. Only exception for me would be a MAJOR piece (record breaker, key gamer, etc), but if it's a relatively "unimportant" jersey...JOHN HANCOCK THAT STUFF!

RE: Ultimate TTM Return! JERSEY!
I agree whole heartedly.....Game worn items should be left alone and not signed. Sticks i ahve no problem with signing unless its a photomatched one that is a significant historical used one. Players have som many diff sticks throughout a season...but usually not many jsys.

Yes you def are a minority on this....many game worn collectors frown upon having these signed......whether historical of not....get game issued, or replicas signed.......once a gamer is signed it takes away alot of its appeal and collectibility, well at least for me. Ive passed on several gamers of players I wanted...but because they were signed....I moved on looking for ones that werent.

Nice autographed jersey. I would never get my Game Used Irbe jersey autographed. If I did, I would get it signed on the inside back of the team logo.

I would have a game worn jsy signed either. This was a game issued jsy he never wore.
