Actually I'm not sure that is evidence of the box being worth it, especially if there was nothing else worth mentioning. You can probably buy that card for $150 or so (at least a raw one), maybe even less. Hardly makes a $600 box "worth it." not bashing it - that is a nice card, especially in the gold brick!

There has never been, isn't, and never will be, a box of football (or any sport) cards I will spend $600 on.
That is soooo insane, I can't even get my head around it.

I agree $600 for a box is scary to gamble with, but.......

The prices of the boxes have went up on the secondary market, well above Paninis MSRP, so this is not Panini driving up cost, this is market demand for the product driving it up. Not bashing you, because I am in the same boat as you that I wouldn't spend that much on a box, but there are plenty of people that will.

Free market at work.

I live in alabama where $2000 can buy you a Third Gen Camaro that will take anything you throw at it. I didn't say new lol, but there are plenty of decent cars you can get on the secondary market for $2000 or less. It helps to be a mechanic/know something about cars so you can find the deals. Alas, this is a discussion for another website.

This is like the billboards for casinos with the picture of the guy that says "I won $5,000,000" but then there's that fine print that says 'Results not typical'

Geez, you'd think on a card that nice that Beckett would spell Montana correctly on the label.

I guess it's just a lifestyle preference, some folks are cool with a 2k car, when my down payments are usually triple, that every few years.

I just don't understand why every year when Treasures and Exquisite releases there are these whining threads. The card companies make products for all price points, just like everything else in life, cars, clothes, food & dining, etc.....
All in with pocket Aces.... Andre Johnson and Aaron Rodgers.
