The redemption code went through, so that's a bonus!

It was a blast. Always is. I'll check you for those two.

Not too bad of a break, Im sure you could get some money back for some of the cards. I know the Motown maddness is on fire and that's a pretty sweet hasek, probably make some money on that little guy. Smile
I know the feeling about not over joyed but not disappointed. your words summed up my relationship with cards pretty well.
Nothing bugs me more in this hobby than people who break a box, get the average hits but not the top players, and then come online and wjine and moan. I got roughly what I was told I'd get, am I gonna be mad because I didn't hit RNH or Hall? No. I'd give up cards if it came to that.

All in all it was a lot of fun, I'll get some return in sale and/or trade and I'm fairly well stocked in traders/sellers at the moment as well, so I'll be breaking more eventually.

honestly, im one of those guys who dont mind my cards. If i never trade 1 card that wont keep me from collecting. i'll still crack wax, i'll just keep what i have. no biggie. i feel the same tho sometimes, get a box, get the hits, just player selection or names arent the biggest. but its cool. all in the hobby i guess. its always a gamble. unless you fork out the big dough.
Collecting : Paul stastny, Patrick kane, Matt Duchene, gordie howe, bobby hull,

I'm sort of the same way though I treat the buying/selling/trading as a hobby unto itself that helps with my collecting hobby. Two levels of fun! So if I never traded or sold another card, I'd be out of one of my hobbies by default, haha.

What I've learned over the past few years though, is that there is no such thing as a card that you will NEVER get rid of. If you sell, cards you've had for years can get burried into lots, for example. Even if you don't sell, there's someone for every card, it's just harder to find. Case in point, I've had a Seidenberg RC I pulled out of one of those "BOX OF RANDOM PACKS! RANDOMLY CHOSEN DOLLAR AMOUNT VALUE GUARANTEED!" from Wal-Mar in 2009. sometime in 2011 I reserved myself to the fact I'd be holding this card on my deathbed. Even when I started selling, I never bothered with it. I put it, along with a bunch of my other RCs, into my organize when I started up here again and just recently traded it away in a really good deal. You may have to hold onto a card for a long, long time. But you'll never hold onto one forever unless you decide to
