I agree about another Topps Total set. Or for Panini to give Score an even larger base set. Take out the Autos and GU, and just have a couple cool insert sets. They wouldn't have to be "flash" cards or anything, but a cheap set to produce without the big hits. They may not be the most popular, but having a set where you could buy packs for $1 would really help getting some young collectors back into this hobby I feel.

There are some collectors out there that collect obscure players who may have only one or a few cards produced, but these players (may not be superstars in any light, although there are quite a few that have transcended to that level most recently) have produced more than those who played the roles of just the common bench-warmer, 3rd-down specialist and set-filler.

Cameron wake finally started to get his due. He now has around 70 cards.

I am in the same boat i would love to see cards of guys from my favorite team as well but card co's beleave that only cards of the top tier guys sell so they dont want to waist time making cards of other guys.
For reasons like this i started making my own cards of guys i want. Yea they are not main stream but they make me happy and i have even had some players ask me to make them cards.

I was happy to see Miles Burris feature in two sets so far this year (Absolute and Contenders) and also for Marcell Reece in Gridiron. But I would really like to see more defensive guys in general be featured in more sets. It seems that the 100 card bast sets generally feature 3 players from each team (not including rookies) and these will be the QB, RB and WR/TE.

Richard Sherman is in 2012 Topps Magic as well. Not sure if he is one of the players with autograph cards in Topps Magic, but he at least has a base card in that set.

My Kiwaukee Thomas Topps Total card is one of my favorites. All around good nickel back (not nickelback) - went to school with him and played football with him growing up.

Would love a solid 1000 card set - a series 1 and series 2 perhaps? An auto per case and maybe 4 jersey cards per case? 45 bucks a box would yield about 350 base cards /inserts.
