The link you had is to an old order form that was a limited one time special price and is no longer valid.

The boxes cost $6.99 regularly. Here is the link to the Beckett Media store for the CURRENT pricing.

STORAGE BOXES

Thanks for the link! For some reason my searching mojo wasn't with me.

I wouldn't call it a big score. I'm speculating here, but I think at the time they were just beginning to sell these and were trying to drum up interest so they were offering some special pricing at certain guaranteed quantities. It was a couple of years ago if I recall correctly so wouldn't surprise me if costs have gone up.

Yeah it's been a while for sure. If it wasn't invalid before, I'm sure it would be after the February price hike anyway.

I ordered mine on July 12th, 2011 using that precise form. I even started a thread about it on here, which you were active in and posted in that thread on Sept. 23rd, 2011.

So unless Beckett's one-time offer spanned from Jan. 2010 to July 2011, I reiterate that I disagree.

Yes I was active in the thread,,,, yes sir we are in complete agreement on prices you paid and what others paid,,,,,

Anyone who printed the form out who could actually locate it had the box price honored since they did not put an expiration date on the form,,,, hence the $4.99 price was honored,,,, not arguing with you at all on that point,,, they also honored the $4.99 price for anyone who ordered boxes while placing a graded card order at the same time. No form was required either.

The link I showed had a current Beckett store price of $6.99 -- this was indeed the cost of the BGS boxes before they ran out of stock,,,,,

IF the boys at BGS decide to order BGS boxes again rest assured the price will be increased beyond the $6.99 the link had,,,,, I know this from having asked Jeromy directly,,,,, their costs went up ,,,,

Hope this helps Smile
Jeff

Ya the price of every facet of BGS generally went up by an imbalanced $1, so I'd expect these would follow suit as well.

I am a little late to the party with this thread but...

A really cool thing I used to hold BGS graded cards in is a wood (single) wine box. You can get these really cheap (sometimes free) and they are just about perfect for holding graded cards. Obviously if you want to close the box do not buy one with a slider top, buy the standard clasp closing. The great thing about these boxes are strong and there are a lot of really cool looking ones out there.
