Thanks for posting Chris. I've worked with Charles in the past and found him very responsive and professional.

RE: Have a BGS question? Ask your regional reps ...
I have a 2011 Bowman Bryce Harper with No Name on the Front. I had it graded by Beckett (it got a "9" overall) and Beckett even wrote "Missing Foil on Front". How come this card does not come up in the Population Report? From what I understand Beckett has graded a few of these cards now. Have these error cards been thrown into the mix with the regular BP1A graded cards? If so, shouldn't they be in a group of their own? Thanks for the clarification on this.

they are not an error nor a variation, so they wouldnt have their own subgrouping. basically, the no foil is a qualifier, and thus, your card is a 9, with a no foil qualifier. it would be grouped with the rest the cards

RE: 1990 Fleer Rookie Sensations David Robinson
So here is my question, I had been dormant in the hobby for 20 or so years. Recently I dipped my foot back in and wanted to get a few cards graded.

One I sent in was the aforementioned David Robinson Rookie Fleer Rookie Sensation. It came back from BGS ungraded saying "Shaved Edge/Clipped Corner".

Now the problem is I am not a big basketball fan so I specifically remember, "I do", purchasing a few packs of the sealed/tamper proof packs of Fleer cards that year and getting this card.

Since it came right out of the pack and into a card saver the last 20 or so years how can it be determined to be tampered with? No I didn't do anything to it and it came straight from the pack to me and in a shoebox.

I appreciate any input as to why it was graded as such.

Is there a list of cards somewhere that you folks DO NOT grade? Id hate to send in a ton of cards only to have them shipped back

Thanks

It's at the top labeled Grading Services. When you hold your cursor over this, it creates a drop down menu. Click on Grading FAQ. Then scroll down to the section Grading Cards - BGS. And click on Cards BGS Grades.

I hope that this helps. Let me know IF you need further assistance.

Aglandiir = Create a post in the regular section about the cards you wish to grade I'll answer the post.

kalcott11 = pack fresh doesn't mean the item was created perfect by the manufacturer. All sorts of headaches with cards fresh from packs. Welcome to grading. Create a thread in the regular section about your questions myself & others will ry and provide feedback for you.

Fransles = price guides are made up 2.5 months in advance. Typical magazine deadlines so you won't see stuff in a magazine for several months. Takes a while once stuff is out also to verify checklists as the manufacturers make tweaks all the way up to the end. Topps is famous for deliberately not sending correct checklists ( they are a candy company and do not care). Expect 4-8 weeks once an item hits shelves before seeing checklists online that are halfway accurate.
