my first last pack rule...

my first last pack rule...
hello all! it's been a bit since i've been able to get on here, but i've been going through past posts this past couple of days catching up. hope everyone is doing well...hockey is back, so that's at least a start! i know Chris has fantastic luck with the last pack, so i thought i would give it a whirl (although mine is a little different.)

there is very little hockey for purchase around me, and funds have been tight lately so i haven't picked up anything until tonight. i was at target and wandered over to the cards and noticed tons of baseball, football, and basketball...and a few blasters of artifacts hockey. i've been around long enough to know better than to purchase artifacts blasters Smile there was one, lone variety package (12 random packs) for $9.99 and it almost looked out of place tucked in with all of the other sports. below is a pack by pack highlight/breakdown. i think i did all right...

1991 Ultimate Draft (1 pack) - nothing of importance
1991-92 Score (1 pack) - nothing of importance
1991-92 Topps (1 pack) - nothing of importance
2007-08 Victory (2 packs)
- base: Lundqvist, Ovechkin
- RC: 205 David Clarkson
- Game Breakers: Martin Brodeur
2007-08 Ultra (3 packs)
- base: Sakic
- RC: 232 Mathieu Roy, 241 Ryan Callahan
- Gold Medallion: Ballard, Bonk, Lehtonen
2008-09 Upper Deck MVP (1 pack)
- base: Price
- RC: 309 Shawn Matthias
2009-10 O-Pee-Chee (1 pack)
- RC: 542 Byron Bitz
- Canadian Heroes: Josh Harding
2006-07 BeeHive (1 pack)
- base: Fedorov, Iginla, Thornton
- red facsimile: 136 Nigel Dawes

it was turning out to be a bust, but i was saved by the last pack...

2006-07 Upper Deck (1 pack)
- Young Gun: 486 EVGENI MALKIN

needless to say, i was happy with the purchase! all will be for trade soon. thanks for the long read!

Matthew, my good friend, glad to see you back and posting. Great hit on the Malkin YG!!! I know how fun these variety packs are as I purchase quite a few here. Last weekend I bought 2 and pulled a Tavares YG and Eberle YG. When your ready to trade check me for the Malkin.
