What is the difference between the cognac and the regular diamond anniversary?

I have the Dustin Ackley #U254 and it's gold in color but I have the Posey from the regular issue Topps set that is silver. Both are the Diamond Ann. I just don't know if one is cognac or if the update set did something different.

The update has a gold version, cognac version, diamond version and then store specific colors - red (Target), blue (Walmart), etc.

If it has a serial number it is the gold, if it doesn't and it's kind of a goldish brown it's the cognac.

The cognac is more like a pinkish/light red/light maroon color

The cognac looks close to gold, more like a bronze to copper color though. The regular diamond anniversary have a silver look to them. So they are pretty easy to tell apart. It sounds like your Ackley is the cognac version.
